The 20-month PhD scholarship will be used to conduct an ethnography in So Paulo, with the goal of better understanding crisis response strategies, particularly the COVID-19 health crisis and its economic, housing, and occupational effects on the lives of migrants in So Paulo, as well as their kinship and community networks. The research will take place at the University of Campinas' Center for Gender Studies (PAGU-UNICAMP) in the state of So Paulo.

How to Apply: Applicants have to submit the documents to pagu@unicamp.br for the first selection. After this selection, applicants will be informed about the date of an interview that aims to provide additional elements for writing an action plan, to be sent remotely.

Admission Requirements: Candidates must have a background in social sciences, anthropology/sociology/political science, knowledge of feminist literature and intersectional perspectives on gender and migration (international and Brazilian).

Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a R$ 8,479.20 monthly Post-Doctoral fellowship from the So Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), as well as a research contingency fund equal to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship, to be spent on goods directly connected to the research activity.
